Miguel A. Avila

Associate

Miguel A. Avila is an Associate with the firm working on civil, administrative and restraining order matters. 

 

Mr. Avila graduated from the University of California Santa Barbara with a degree in Chicana/o Studies and Sociology.  He obtained his law degree from the Santa Barbara and Ventura Colleges of Law.  While in law school, Mr. Avila joined the firm as a law clerk.  Mr. Avila was also active with the Delta Theta Phi legal fraternity, volunteering with the local mock trial tournaments.

 

As an attorney, Mr. Avila continued to volunteer in the community.  For the past two years, he served as a guest panelist for UCSB’s Latinos and the Law class taught by Retired Judge Frank J. Ochoa.   He is a member of The Colleges of Law Alumni Association and was a panelist at their “Ask an Alumnus” event in October 2020.

 

Mr. Avila holds a Coaching Class F license from the United States Soccer Federation and a Goal Keeper Level One license from the United Soccer Coaches.  He served as an assistant and goalkeeper coach for the Central Valley Soccer Club – Juventus Boys ’05 from 2017 through 2019.

 

Mr. Avila is fluent in Spanish.
